Hudson/Rollins Renovation Project

Hudson Hall was constructed in 1965 as part of the Hudson, Gillet & Rollins complex. As part of Phase III of the Residential Life Master Plan, Hudson Hall closed for renovations in December, 2008.
The renovations to the building and complex included:
- Central air conditioning throughout
- New windows throughout
- New lighting and finishes throughout
- Completely renovated community restrooms
- Expansion/creation of three quiet studies on every floor (one per wing)
- Redeveloped Rollins main lounge to include a student technology lounge/computing area and the relocation of front desk and mail operations
- Elevator equipment upgrade: mechanical and new cars
- Relocation of main pedestrian access to building
- Sprinklers throughout
- New roofing
- Exterior brick work/replacing damaged exterior
- Addition of an emergency generator
Hudson Hall reopened to residents in August, 2010 and is home to 420 residents living in a mixture of traditional double and single rooms.
