What's Happening

	September 10, 2009 Building exteriors at mid-campus substantially completed as of September 1st. Pump booster to be installed during September/October/November in basement of SO in order to resolve water pressure deficiences in HawLeWood. Housing Operations move to Defoe-Graham under way.
	August 26, 2009 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Rollings Dining Hall will be closing at the end of FS 2009 along with Gillett Hall and will reopen for FS 2010 with the completion of the Hudson Hall Renovation. This announcement is meant to elucidate the previous ambiguities in the construction project plan that did not clarify the length of the dining hall's closure.
	July 10, 2009 Site work on Mid-Campus housing is ending! Student room furniture installation complete.
	October 10, 2008 A new construction update flyer is available here. As of Oct. 2, 64% of the project schedule had elapsed! Site – Crews started steam chase and pipe replacement at the main entrance. Work on the retaining walls at the northwest corner of the site begins in three weeks.
	January 24, 2008 34% of the Mid-Campus project is complete! Currently (among other tasks), roofing is being installed on the west Mid-Campus building and Defoe/Graham are being prepared for transfer from Residential Life to the contractor. 77% of the Schurz/Bingham project is complete! All Schurz student rooms should be completed by mid-February
	January 3, 2007 Mid-Campus brick selection has been approved by the Architectural Review Committee. ARC recommended window trim paint be bronze in color. Concrete for Mid-Campus South's walls is currently being poured. Ebay sale of furniture (from Defoe/Graham) slated to begin 1/3/08 and run through 1/9/08. Furniture pick up scheduled for 1/14 and 15. 	October 29, 2007 23% of the Mid-Campus project schedule, and 52% of the Schurz/Bingham project schedule has elapsed. Go check out our progress!
	October 9, 2007 Work on trench drains in certain Hatch Hall restrooms will complete this week. Drains will be installed for other Hatch restrooms over the semester break.

	July 12, 2007 A portion of the concrete foundation for the Mid-Campus area has been poured. See what is happening now with the Mid-Campus Construction Webcam. Construction on the road on the north side of Virginia Avenue Garage has completed. It will be used by the construction crews working on the Mid-Campus project, and should be avoided!
	July 3, 2007 Hatch Hall stairwell handrail installation is currently underway McDavid student room furniture begins July 6^th 33% of the Schurz/Bingham project schedule has elapsed. 	June 19, 2007 In January Residential Life was notified that the College Avenue construction and Hatch Hall renovation projects will be part of the Real Estate & Construction Review magazine — 2008 St. Louis edition. The Real Estate and Construction highlights some of the most dynamic and challenging projects designed and built in the Midwest. The Virginia Avenue complex was featured in the 2006 edition of this publication, as was the Christopher S. Bond Life Sciences Center and the Student Recreation Complex.
