Based on the enrollment predictions for next year, the word is out – it’s a great time to be a Tiger.

This coming year, we anticipate a very large freshman class. In addition, next year we will have an increase in the number of student who wish to stay in the residence halls. Based on the increased enrollment and high demand for housing this year, we have extended our student housing options to meet the needs of current and future MU students. Residential Life has entered into an agreement with two nearby housing complexes to provide a block of more than 700 spaces just for MU students. These spaces will form two new communities – Mizzou Quads at Campus Lodge and Tiger Diggs at Campus View.

What does this mean for you?

Community. Though students in these communities will not be living in a traditional residence hall, they will be living with and near other MU students. Plus, professional and student staff members will be living on site to help get accustomed to campus and to help student meet the neighbors.

Proximity. Both locations are less than 2 miles from campus and are on a convenient shuttle route to the center of campus provided at no charge. Plus, since so many MU students are living at Mizzou Quads and Tiger Diggs, it’ll be easy to get to know others who are also attending MU.

Convenience. These extended MU housing options will still offer the convenience of the residence halls. In addition, Residential Life will bill your University account and financial aid can be directly applied. We’ll take care of everything for you – all you have to do is go online and select one of these new options.

More Single Options. If you tried to get a single before, but were unable to find one, here’s your chance. These two communities offer single rooms just like the residence halls, but these offer more bathrooms per suite. No more than two people will share a bathroom and many bedrooms feature a private bath.

Cost. Mizzou Quads and Tiger Diggs will be priced like many of our current single-room options. Tiger Diggs will cost $4,550 plus the cost of a dining plan; Mizzou Quads will cost $5,300 plus the cost of the dining plan. Each will be for a full academic year including breaks (fall, winter, spring). In addition, the cost will be billed to your University account by Residential Life and any financial aid can still be applied directly to your bill.

How do I sign up?

Returning Residence Hall Students. Just log back into ROAR (Residents’ Online Access to Rooms). From there you can sign in with your pawprint and password, select “General Search” and tell us you’d like to live in a “LEARNING COMMUNITY.” Once there, you should be able to see Tiger Diggs and Mizzou Quads.
(These options will be restricted to returning students for a limited time only. Log in between June 5 and June 9 to receive priority over incoming first-time college students. Beginning June 10, you can still log in, but these options will become available to everyone with a housing contract.)

Freshmen. Beginning June 5, these new options will be available to returning students through ROAR (Residents’ Online Access to Rooms). As returning students select these communities, their previously held spaces will be available for anyone to select. Beginning June 10, these new communities will be available to you through ROAR. Just like before, you’ll sign in with your pawprint and password. From there you can sign in with your pawprint and password, select “General Search” and tell us you’d like to live in a “LEARNING COMMUNITY.” Once there, you should be able to see Tiger Diggs and Mizzou Quads.
