FIG Listings 2008-2009

This is a detailed list of the FIGs available for Fall 2008. Each FIG description has a three-digit code and FIG name followed by the courses all students in the FIG take together.

Listed under that is housing information for the FIG - the name of the residence hall where students in that FIG will live and the name of the Sponsored Learning Community (SLC) where applicable. Many FIGs are part of a larger SLC, but not all are.

Most courses offered through the FIGs program meet the General Education requirements all students must satisfy, regardless of major. So, if you choose a pre-med FIG now and later decide you don't want to go into medicine, don't worry. Your FIG courses will likely still count toward your degree program.

When selecting a FIG, select only those FIGs where the courses interest you (see course descriptions). Also, remember that you cannot have previous credit for more than one of the classes that are part of a FIG.
