August 28, 2007:
Residents currently living in Defoe/Graham wanting to move to a different room or hall, and all residents wanting to move to a different room within their current hall, may fill out a Room Move Request form starting August 29th.

August 3, 2007: Check your assignment!
Defoe and Graham are great halls to live in, but they are due for some renovation. We'll close the hall in December so they can be renovated and reopened by August 2009.

But don't stress about your hall closing—there are heroes everywhere—and you're one of them! As a resident of Defoe or Graham, you'll have the power to make this a great experience, meet new friends and pick your top choices for where to live in the Spring semester.

Keep in mind—all freshmen (regardless of their secret powers) live in ther residence halls for a full academic year (as described in paragraph 7 of your Residence Hall Contract)—even when they move to another hall.


Want to request a room move?

You can do two things:

  1. Wait until the semester break.  If you wait to move until the semester break it will make life easy. In November we'll ask for your move preferences, assign you to the best space we can find for you AND move your stuff during the semester break—for free! No hassle, no worries—we can handle it.
  2. Move in before semester break.  You can go online to request a room move beginning August 29. Keep in mind, this is a request and may take a while to fulfill based on space available.
