Jones hall is a very active residence hall housing approximately 300
women. Jones is located on the western part of the campus next to Greek
Town. Jones has bunkable beds in each student room. The popular Dobbs Pavilion
dining facility offers a wide variety of menus and options for dining.
Other features of Jones Hall include a computer
room located on every other floor, two work out rooms, a convenience store, and
a snack bar nearby.
Since Jones traditionally has a large Greek population,
the Greek Leadership Learning Community (GLLC) is housed here. This community
offers Greek and non-Greek students an opportunity to build their own community.
Since most freshmen women who pledge sororities can not move into the house until
their sophomore year, Jones provides a Greek-oriented environment that is conveniently
located next to Greek Town.
Jones is one of three buildings that make up the
Dobbs Group. Traditionally, about three fourths of the Dobbs Group residents
are freshmen or transfer students. Because of its location, the population of
Jones is generally made up of 60-75% sorority women.
