Community Goals

Community members in the Human Behavior and Social Sciences learning community:

• Learn about psychology and social sciences
• Develop awareness of social issues using sociological and psychological perspectives
• Broaden knowledge of one's self and others
• Bridge the gap between psychological and sociological endeavors as they relate to other fields such as medicine, the arts, business and communication
• Cultivate awareness and respect for diverse group affiliations and their belief systems

Freshman Interest Groups (FIGs)

The Human Behavior and Social Sciences Learning Community also houses freshman interest groups (FIGs) that relate to its overall goals and objectives. Some FIGs that have been part of this learning community include Psychology and Human Behavior, Child Development, Behavior in Society, and Psychology of Decisions and Values.

Please note: The nature and availability of specific FIGs may change in order to adapt to the needs of both the Learning Community and participating students.
