The Men of Engineering Learning Community is designed for men majoring (or planning to major) in any of the engineering programs offered at MU: civil, mechanical, nuclear, electrical, computer or computer science, biological, industrial or chemical. The residents of this community benefit from the ongoing support of peers and faculty with similar academic interests.

Community Goals

Men of Engineering offers residents a full range of activities. In this program, students will:

• Interact with academically like-minded peers for support and challenge
• Benefit from the guidance and mentorship between upperclassmen and first-year students
• Enjoy greater access to engineering faculty and staff members
• Learn about a variety of career paths in the field of engineering

Freshman Interest Groups (FIGs)

The Men of Engineering Learning Community also houses freshman interest groups (FIGs) that relate to its overall goals and objectives. Four Men of Engineering FIGs have been concurrently active within this community.
