Only items received from the US Postal Service, Campus Mail
Service, Campus Dining Services, Residential Life or materials approved by
the Associate Director for Business Operations will be placed in mailboxes
for residents. Individually addressed items from one resident to another
may not be distributed through the residence hall mail rooms.
Mail is delivered to the halls Monday through Saturday, except on holidays. When a package is delivered, Residents will be notified by a package slip in their mailbox. Students should take the package slip to the front desk or package window to pick up their package.
For the security of residents' mail and that of their roommate, mailbox combinations should not be given to anyone else. Residents should not "set" their mailbox to open without having to dial the combination.
Residents should always pick up their own mail-it is a federal offense to tamper with someone else's mail.
Mail will not be forwarded to home addresses during holidays. Residents should not forget to to notify credit card companies, magazines, etc. that they will not be receiving mail for a number of weeks. When checking out of the hall, residents should be sure to leave a forwarding address at the Front Desk.
