Update: Gillett residents who want to move to another room or hall and all other residents who want to move to another room in their current hall may fill out a Room Move Request Form starting Sept. 2.
If you requested the "assign me later" option, these are made only as space and time permit throughout the summer.
- When will I receive my assignment?
-
If you have selected a room through ROAR (Residents' Online Access to Rooms), your assignment and contact information for your roommate can be found at myzou.missouri.edu by clicking on "Self Service."
- What if I don't have an assignment yet?
-
Any final assignments made by Residential Life Staff will be available through MyZou by mid-August. If you don't have an assignment by Move-In Day, you can go to the Residential Life office in 125 Jesse to get it. The office will provide assignments for unassigned students from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- What if I don't like my assignment?
-
If you receive a housing assignment that you wish to change, you have two options:
First Option:
ROAR will be open from June 1 through Aug. 5. Residents are able to select a new assignment at this time. Please keep in mind, though, that if you select a new assignment, you will lose your previous assignment.Second Option:
All students will have the opportunity to sign up for another space during the "Student Move Request" period, which begins three weeks after the halls open. Requests to move within your current hall (or any hall for Gillett residents) will be accepted online beginning Wednesday, Sept. 2 through the Room Move Request Form. Requests to move to a different hall will be accepted on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Remember, sign-up is first-come, first-served, and room changes are based upon space availability. - Where can I find details about my hall?
-
To read details about the residence hall you will be living in, visit the Residence Halls Web page, and click on your hall. Each hall page provides a list of amenities, interior and exterior photos, sample room floor plans, a general description of the hall, a list of learning communities and FIGs, your mailing address and contact information for hall staff.
- How big is my room?
-
Room floor and window dimensions are available here. Additional room information (photos, amenities, etc.) is available on the Residence Halls page.
- Where can I find information about my room?
-
The Residence Halls pages provide photos, amenities, rates and sample floor plans with room and window dimensions for each residence hall. While you cannot visit your actual room when you come for Summer Welcome (as halls are filled with summer conference guests), you will have the opportunity to view a sample room that is representative of the rooms in your assigned hall.
- Will freshmen be assigned to suites?
-
Yes - some freshmen will live in suite-style accommodations. Students may select from all available spaces. Approximately half the spaces on campus are suite-style options. However, single-room suites are typically available on a limited basis to freshmen.
- How can I contact my roommate?
-
Your roommate's name and contact information are available in myZou under "Self Service." Be sure to check with your roommate about who is bringing the TV, microwave and refrigerator because there is only one of each allowed per room. At Tiger Diggs and Mizzou Quads, none of these are necessary - every apartment is equipped with a kitchen, washer/dryer and a flat-screen TV.
