Thanksgiving Break

Here are some dates and times to keep in mind before the break.

  • Halls Close at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16
  • Last Meal before Recess will be dinner Friday, Nov. 16 *
  • Halls Open at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25
  • First Meal after Recess will be breakfast Monday, Nov. 26

* Mark Twain Market, Plaza 900 and Rollins close after lunch. Eva J's, Pavilion at Dobbs and the Emporium close at 6pm.

All MU residence halls (except Lathrop, Laws and South) will be closed and locked at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16. and students will NOT be allowed to access the hall!

RESIDENTS OF DEFOE, GRAHAM, STAFFORD AND CRAMER HALLS: DUE TO A SCHEDULED POWER OUTAGE OVER BREAK, MAKE SURE TO REMOVE ALL FOOD FROM YOUR REFRIGERATOR AND UNPLUG IT!

What to do before you leave:

  • Remove pets as required by the Pet Policy Statement
  • Take summer clothes home
  • Trade out summer clothes for warmer clothes
  • Empty and wash any food containers in your room
  • Empty wastebaskets
  • Close and lock your windows
  • Shut down and disconnect computers and accessories
  • Turn off your lights and lock your door
  • Make sure you have important items (tickets, prescriptions, etc.)
  • Set temperature gauges to lowest setting in rooms with dials or 60 degrees in rooms with thermostats

Residents of Lathrop, Laws and South Halls may stay in their rooms at no additional charge since rates for these halls include academic year break periods. If you live in one of these halls and plan to stay over this recess, you MUST inform your CA or HC, by signing up at the desk no later than Tuesday, Nov. 14.
